ENERGY LEADERSHIP™ INDEX

A research-based assessment that brings awareness to how perspective and energy shape leadership, decision-making, and how we respond to change.

WHAT IS THE ENERGY LEADERSHIP™ INDEX?

The Energy Leadership™ Index is a research-based assessment designed to measure how individuals experience and respond to their world. It does not evaluate personality or fixed traits. Instead, it focuses on perspective. Specifically, how thoughts, assumptions, and interpretations influence energy, behavior, and leadership presence.

At its core, the ELI offers insight into how people show up. It highlights patterns that often operate below awareness, especially in moments of pressure, uncertainty, or sustained demand. This makes it a valuable starting point for individuals and leaders who want to lead with intention rather than habit.

The assessment is used with both individuals and organizations and frequently serves as the foundation for deeper leadership development, burnout recovery, and resilience-building work.

The Energy Leadership Index™ is available only through a Certified Energy Leadership Index Master Practitioner. Developed by Bruce D. Schneider through iPEC Coaching, the assessment is intentionally designed to be supported by a guided debrief.

WHY PERSPECTIVE AND ENERGY MATTER

How we show up matters.

Responsibilities shift. Expectations change. Roles, both personal and professional, expand in ways we do not always anticipate. Many people find themselves navigating ongoing complexity without much space to step back or recalibrate. Over time, this can lead to fatigue, reactivity, or a gradual disconnection from what matters most.

How we respond in these moments matters. Perspective shapes energy, and energy influences how we think, decide, and relate to others. Without awareness, familiar patterns take over, even when they are no longer helpful. With awareness, choice becomes possible.

This is where the Energy Leadership Index™ becomes meaningful.

HOW THE ENERGY LEADERSHIP™ INDEX WORKS

A framework for understanding how perspective shapes energy and response

At the core of the Energy Leadership™ Index are seven distinct levels of energy. Each level represents a different perspective through which people interpret events, respond to stress, and engage with the world. These perspectives influence emotional responses, decisions, and behavior, often without conscious awareness.

The value of the model lies in recognizing these patterns and developing greater flexibility in how energy is directed, particularly during sustained pressure or change.

THE 7 LEVELS OF ENERGY

What level of energy are you resonating at most often?

Within the Energy Leadership Index™, the Seven Levels of Energy describe different ways we perceive and respond to our experiences. Each level reflects a distinct energetic perspective that influences thoughts, emotions, and actions, especially during times of stress or change.

All seven levels are available to everyone. No one operates from a single level all the time.

As demands shift, energy shifts with them. The goal is not to remain in a higher level, but to build awareness of where energy is showing up in a given moment and to expand the ability to choose a more intentional response when it matters most

UNDERSTANDING YOUR ENERGY PATTERNS

Exploring how energy is expressed across the seven levels and how perspective shifts under stress

ENERGETIC SELF PERCEPTION CHART

The Energetic Self-Perception Chart shows how energy is typically distributed across the seven levels in everyday situations. It reflects the perspectives most readily accessed when navigating decisions, relationships, and routine demands.

Rather than evaluating performance, this chart highlights patterns. It reveals where energy tends to concentrate and how perspective influences engagement with the world.
